How to get SmartBRO Canopy IP Address

Here is a step-by-step procedure on how you can safely get the IP address of your SmartBRO Canopy so you can access and manage your SmartBRO Canopy settings. Do this whenever you cannot connect to the internet.

any new subscriber of smartbro will have the 10.xxx.xxx canopy address

1. Go to network connections in the control panel
2. Right click on the local area network
3. Highlight Internet Protocol and click on properties
4. Set to Use the Following IP address
5. Set the IP Address to "10.20.30.40"
6. Set the Subnet to "255.0.0.0"
7. Leave the gateway blank
8. Leave the DNS blank
9. Apply the changes
10. Then go to command prompt
11. Type in the command prompt c:\arp -a

arp -a - Displays current ARP entries by interrogating the current protocol data. If inet_addr is specified, the IP and Physical addresses for only the specified computer are displayed. If more than one network interface uses ARP, entries for each ARP table are displayed.

12. It will show several IP address
13. After you get the IP address of your canopy, open to your browser
14. Type the IP address at the address bar to get access to the smartbro admin site.
